Unexpected life events can occur and may interfere with your research program. Therefore, we allow students to pause their program at any time.
Requesting Program Pause:
- You must inform your CR Liaison & mentor of your decision to pause your program and provide an estimated date of your return.
- You may pause your program for a maximum of 3 months.
- To initiate a pause, please write to your CR Liaison with a pause request.
- If your Pause Program Form has a start & end date < 3 months, it will be approved!
- If your Pause Program Form has a start & end date > 3 months, it may be granted on a case-by-case basis only
- Your program will be put on pause only once you receive an email saying that your Program Pause Request has been approved.
- You may resume your program within the next cohort or the one after. For example, if you are currently enrolled in the Fall Cohort you may resume the program in the Winter or Spring Cohort.
Post Program Pause:
- After going on pause, if you do not respond to our emails about resuming your program within the break period, you will need to reapply to the program and complete the application process + payment once again if you wish to be a part of the program.
- After this, you can choose to start your work from scratch or pick up from where your old program left off, both with a new mentor.
